Concrete Flooring- Term & Conditions
BGSB Concrete Solutions terms & conditions form is part of all work and advice. BGSB holds great worth in its corporate reputation and seeks to hold the highest standard in all is activities. There are important project specific issues that may affect the outcome of any project related to concrete flooring. BGSB urges that a basic understanding of these issues will assist in developing a realistic expectation of the finished result. By paying the deposit or by commencement of work the client acknowledges/understands and agrees to the herein conditions.
Parties to the works: BGSB represents BGSB Concrete Solutions the contractor. The Clients represents the purchasing party.
Payment: The client will pay a deposit as specified and the full invoice (herein) on completion of work or as detailed within the invoice.
Agreed scope of works and cost: The client acknowledges in all cases that BGSB has explained the work process, job specific issues, discussed realistic expectations and agrees that the scope of work is clearly understood. Any other work, other than the mentioned work is a variation and is billed as “additional work” including additional internal damage.
Agreed uncontrollable variations: Client agrees to the risks and variations of polished concrete, acid stain, alternative toppings. They also agrees that no two slabs are alike. The client agrees that no color matching can be guaranteed for concrete flooring. BGSB has no liability or control of variation caused by cement reaction, aggregate composition, discolors or chemical reactions.
Samples: The client agrees they have sighted samples and or waived the right to see a sample. BGSB has no control over sample/project variations as cement and concrete are unpredictable.
Agreed product and site responsibility: Product fault is liable to the supplier, not BGSB who are the applicators. Payment is to be made in full regardless of inherited concrete flaws. BGSB is not responsible for skirting, sidewalks, structure or tangible damage on the client’s site. BGSB are not responsible or will not be held liable for cracks. It is the nature of concrete to crack and or discolor over time during cure and or hydration.Seek professional advice from suppliers to achieve your requirements; BGSB is not responsible for any related cause, reaction, inherited issues of any product.
Agreed responsibility for damage: BGSB is not liable for builder’s damage during the building stage and therefore damages will be charged accordingly as “additional work”. BGSB urges clients and builders to place polish concrete signage where applicable.
Agreed site preparation: Appropriate site power must be provided by the client, thus 240 volt or 3 phases. Should no power be available additional charges will apply.
Agreed maintenance obligations: Maintenance guide must be adhered to or warranty will be void. Work that has not been listed in the quotation shall be added as additional work and charged accordingly.
