Congratulations on your new natural eco-living floor. To keep your concrete flooring finishes in top condition BGSB recommends that you undertake regular maintenance

Maintenance Program: Preserving your floor is a simple task that requires little effort. To maintain your concrete flooring follow a simple cleaning regime of dusting, mopping and buffing. This procedure can extend the life of your concrete floor for many years. BGSB’s standard maintenance program is outlined below; however, depending upon your specific project, traffic flow and finish BGSB will provide a custom maintenance regime.

• Dusting daily
• Auto scrub or mop daily
• weekly buffing recommended

 
Dusting: Removing dust is the most crucial part of maintaining your floor as dust particles become abrasive and scour surfaces. Over time dust will build up and scuff marks will start to appear. Dust can remove a floors protective coating and expose underlying cement.Dust your floors as often as possible with a dust mop. This should be done daily. This simple step takes few minutes of your time and can save you money. A floor can last up to 5 years without re-polishing and re-coating, if this step is carried out on a daily basis.

Mopping Or Auto scrub: Mopping or auto scrubbing daily is highly recommended to maintain an aesthetic floor. Avoid using local agent supplies from supermarkets. BGSB recommends the use of a neutral cleaner from a local chemical supplier at a dilution of 10% content and 90% water. Contact your local chemical supplier for a range of neutral cleaning products daily basis.

 Important Notice: Avoid household detergents, acidity or ammonia products. Although your floor has the defense coating to resist these substances, it is recommended they are not used. These products will only damage your floor.

Annual buffing will maintain your floors new look. BGSB recommends buffing be undertaken by an approved BGSB operator. Buffing can be requested at any time but BGSB recommends annually buffing is more than enough.
