While on a trip through the streets of their home city, Tony and Sally stumbled across a concrete wall that had the effects and style they desired to fill their home. Sally and Tony approached BGSB to duplicate the color and aggregate they were passionate about. After a visit to the secret city location, BGSB evaluated the finish and designed a potential mix that could be the original of Tony and Sally’s discovered wall. After two 600x600mm samples were produced, Tony and Sally came to an easy decision that BGSB had found an identical match. The bold stroke of their design was to apply the deep black and charcoal mix to the entire living areas of their new home. This included bathrooms, living areas, kitchen, pantry, hallways, laundry and the entry corridor. This application created a seamless flow throughout the home without any joins or edges.
The floor generated an easy-living feeling that harmonized the different areas of the home and the complimentary color palette of the polished concrete. Discovering the specification of the mix is a skill that comes from experience. BGSB specified the unusual 14mm size aggregate that was the secret.
