Application concrete polishing combined with an acid stain color
After the making of the wine comes the tasting. Pialligo has become a mecca for wine buffs. So when Pialligo considered their pavilion, floor they demanded a low maintenance stain resistant solution. Polished concrete made that an easy choice. The difficulty was the need to match the concrete floor of the winery and the cafe! This is a common problem as concrete from different plants and of different ages can have different colors. BGSB recommended the color difference could be overcome with an application of natural acid stain. This delicate technique produces a translucent effect adding artistic variations and textured features throughout the floor . For Pialligo it was a 5 star result. The combination of acid stain and concrete polishing delivered a consistent, visual look throughout both areas. There were other obstacles to overcome, such as uneven flooring, faulty self leveling and polyurethane. After two coats of acid stain, the colors merged as well as producing visual effects that synchronized both areas. A final 10 coats of water based sealer produced a hard wearing and durable surface

The techniques involved in producing an outstanding result are many. Knowing the right combination oftechniques ensures the best result. It can be expensive if you don’t get it right the first time. Experience is always the best solution.
